Ilot Ségur Fontenoy

Paris 7th

Total restructuring of a unique French government heritage site

Ilot Fontenoy Ségur is a 53,000 sqm real estate complex dating back to the 1930s that enjoys an exceptional location in the heart of the 7th arrondissement of Paris, between the UNESCO building, the Ministry of Health and the Ecole Militaire.

It was occupied by the Ministry of the Merchant Marine, then the Ministry of the Post, Telegraph and Telecommunications.

The restructuring objective of this complex was to rationalize the way it works by connecting the two Ségur and Fontenoy buildings. A new part, called the "bridge building" was also created to connect these buildings and now houses shared meeting rooms.

Four years of design and restructuring work thus made it possible to create a very high quality real estate complex. All the parts of the interior architecture, some of which are protected as Historic Monuments, were fully renovated.

The complex is now home to 2,300 work stations, a 450-seat auditorium, an inter-administrative restaurant, a daycare center, a workplace health departement, a fitness center and a documentation center.

The Administrative Services of the Prime Minister as well as two High Independent State Authorities (CNIL, Défenseur des Droits) have occupied these offices since September 2017.
