Ministeriel visit to the WHO Academy
On 12 October, we received the visit of several ministers, personalities and elected officials to the construction site of the future WHO Academy:

. Aurélien Rousseau, Minister of Health and Prevention
. Fabienne Buccio, Prefect of the Auvergne-Rhône Alpes region
. Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, WHO Managing Director
. Grégory Doucet, Mayor of Lyon
. Bruno Bernard, Président of the Métropole de Lyon
. Catherine Staron, Vice-President for Higher Education, Research and Innovation of the Auvergne Rhône-Alpes Region
This visit to LYON coincided with the 75th anniversary of the WHO, and aimed to present France's new global health strategy for the next 5 years.

The WHO Academy was established in 2019 to support the learning of health workers around the world.
The Academy's courses will be accessible through its digital learning platform and training network
The 11,500 m² building, which will be delivered in January 2024, will consist of high-tech learning environments, an ultra-modern health emergency simulation center and collaborative spaces for learning, collaborative design, research and innovation for health.
